Ustwo, the developer behind Monument Valley, has unveiled its latest game — and like the company’s other forays, it’s a sharp break from what the team has done before.

The company has teased the launch of Alba: A Wildlife Adventure, a nature-driven title arriving this winter for iOS, Apple TV, Macs, PCs (via Steam), and consoles. There aren’t many details regarding the gameplay, but you appear to be part of a wildlife league determined to clean up an island and document its fauna. It won’t necessarily play like Pokémon Snap, but a camera is clearly involved.

The game is based on childhood memories of summers the Mediterranean, Ustwo said.
We’ve asked the company if Alba will launch on Android. That’s far from guaranteed, though. The Monument Valley games took years to appear on Google’s platform, and the more recent Assemble With Care was released on Apple Arcade before coming to Steam. This still promises to be a memorable game given Ustwo’s history, but you might not get to play on your preferred device.
