Of course, you don’t actually need to send someone that gift card to earn the bonus—you can just buy the digital version of the card for $50, load it into your own account, and spend $65 on yourself. (You deserve it.)
How the deal works
This deal is pretty straightforward, provided that you are opening up a new Amazon account (which there is nothing to stop you from doing, provided you’ve got a spare email address) or haven’t bought a gift card on their site using your existing account. To get the $15, just head over to Amazon’s gift card page before June 28 (which is when the promotion ends), select a card that’s at least $50, and apply the promo code GIFTCARD2021 at checkout. You’ll know it worked if you see this message at the top of the page:
“Congratulations, your purchase qualifies you for an Amazon.com credit. A one-time $15 promotional credit will be automatically applied to your account and emailed to you within three (3) days after shipping.”
Since the actual credit is separate from the actual gift card, you could pocket that $15 and still send a gift card to someone else as a gift. Alternately, deposit the gift card in your own account and keep it all for yourself.
